Recent changes with the U.S. Department of State's Visa Priority Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State has recently changed its visa bulletin structure, allowing many applicants in preference categories to file for adjustment of status (permanent residence) in the U.S. before their actual priority date has become current. This is a tremendous benefit for those in the U.S. waiting for their priority date to apply for adjustment and most importantly, to apply for a work permit. Please see the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services' published article about this great change.
